Passport to the World: "The Riviera Maya - Myths Dispelled and Mystique Revealed"

October 29, 2014 – Collin College invites the public to attend the a Passport to the World series discussion from noon – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 in the Living Legends Conference Center Section AB at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano.

Communications professor Whitney Pisani will present a lecture entitled "The Riviera Maya - Myths Dispelled and Mystique Revealed" in which she will provide an inside look into the ancient and modern people of the Riviera Maya. She will explore the Maya people's amazing contributions to society and learn more about the truths and myths behind the land.

Passport to the World is a free event series led by Collin College faculty who share their travel experiences, focusing on different cultures, lifestyles, politics and ways of thinking throughout the world.
