Lecture Explores Free Speech

April 8, 2015 – The Knowledge is Power lecture series at Collin College will discuss free speech and civil liberties in the modern age from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center, 9700 Wade Boulevard in Frisco.

"Shouting 'Fire!' in a Crowded Theater: Censorship and Civil Liberties in the Age of Terror," will be presented by Dr. H. Jessica Hargis, professor of political science and Dr. Lauryn Angel, professor of English.

The Knowledge is Power lecture series pairs professors from different academic arenas into one discussion about a topic relevant in global current issues. The lecture is free and open to the public.
