Collin College Celebrates Constitution Day

September 11, 2015 – Collin College invites students and the Collin County community to participate and celebrate Constitution Day 2015 on Thursday, Sept. 17. All events are free and open to the public.
 
Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano
From 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., there will be comment boards for students to express their opinions on Constitutional issues and a reading of the U. S. Constitution in the Atrium. Spring Creek Campus will also host a special Constitution Day speaker in the Living Legends Conference Center at 6 p.m.  Collin College Professor Will Geisler will give an address titled, “A Constitutional Right to Privacy? Is Abortion, Homosexuality, and Gay Marriage Guaranteed by the Constitution?”
 
Preston Ridge Campus, 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco
At 1 p.m., the Preston Ridge Campus will hold a Constitution-themed Jeopardy! game show at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center.
 
Central Park Campus, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney
From 11:30 a.m.  – 12:45 p.m., Dr. David Upham will give a lecture titled, “Getting Married and Our Democracy,” in the Central Park Campus Conference Center.
 
Constitution Day at Collin College is sponsored by the Department of Political Science, in partnership with the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Student Government Association and Student Life.
