"today / yesterday / tomorrow" Exhibition Starts at Collin College

October 1, 2015 – THE ARTS gallery presents “today / yesterday / tomorrow,” an exhibition from Collin College Professor Jennifer Seibert which runs from Thursday, Oct. 15 – Wednesday, Nov. 11 in THE ARTS gallery at the Spring Creek Campus, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano.

Seibert’s work investigates why there seems to be a constant search for the next distant horizon, the next best thing, or some unattainable utopia. Current research projects investigate the ever-changing landscape. She constructs the work by combining Google Street View and Maps (today) with 19th century romantic landscape paintings (yesterday) and data sets on current housing sales, market trends, population growth and building predictions (tomorrow) to create her drawings and installations.

The reception is from 4 -6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at THE ARTS gallery.
