October 26, 2015 – Collin College's Auteur Film Series will screen "A Separation" at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9 at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center as part of its 2015-2016 "Religion: Opiate or Oracle" theme.
The film chronicles the lives of two families in Iran as they try to do the right thing under impossible circumstances.
"‘A Separation’ was the single most positively reviewed film of 2011,” said Auteur Film Series Director Dr. Carolyn Perry.  “It won an Oscar for the Best Foreign Language Film -- the first Iranian film ever to win this award."
The screening is free and open to the public. Doors open 30 minutes before the film begins, and seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences.
