Tom "Bones" Malone Takes Part In Texas All-Star Jazz FestivalAug. 3, 2016 – Tom "Bones" Malone, a member of The Blues Brothers band and a 30-year veteran of late night talk show bands, took part in this year's Texas All-Star Jazz Camp at Collin College, July 18-22.

Tom "Bones" Malone Takes Part In Texas All-Star Jazz FestivalMalone, a multi-instrument musician known for his trombone play, was the featured musician at the camp, putting on clinics and performing in a special concert with members of the Metroplexity Big Band. The clinics covered multiple instruments and allowed camp attendees to ask the musician about his career. They were very well attended.

In addition to his time with Late Night with David Letterman and Late Show with David Letterman, Malone was part of the original Saturday Night Live band. He has also performed with jazz notables including Gil Evans, Woody Herman, Louis Bellson, Frank Zappa and Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Collin College serves nearly 52,000 credit and continuing education students annually and offers more than 100 degrees and certificates in a wide range of disciplines. The only public college in the county, Collin College is a partner to business, government and industry, providing customized training and work force development. In addition, the college operates the Collin Higher Education Center, which serves 3,300 additional students each year in partnership with The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Woman's University, Texas A&M Commerce, Texas Tech and the University of North Texas.
