Auteur Film Series Screens "Amélie"

Oct. 26, 2016 –Collin College's Auteur Film Series will screen "Amélie" at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the college's Central Park Campus conference center, 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

Shy but mischievous Amélie manipulates letters and other messages to help her lonely Parisian neighbors. The film is filled with rich examples of the 2016-2017 Auteur Film Series theme. Dubbed "Dear Movie Lover: The Power of the Letter in Film," the series features films in which the role of letters is prominent.

All screenings are free and open to the public. Doors open 30 minutes before the film begins, and seating is limited. Some material may not be suitable for all audiences. Each film will be followed by a panel discussion led by Collin College faculty and staff.
