Collin Theatre Center Presents "The Skin of Our Teeth"

September 28, 2017 – Collin Theatre Center will present the Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Skin of Our Teeth," from Oct. 5-15 at The John Anthony Theatre on Collin College's Spring Creek Campus.

"The Skin of Our Teeth" is a 5,000-year epic journey that takes the Antrobus family through the Ice Age, The Flood and The Great War (WWI). Ultimately, the story is one of hope, compassion and creativity that touches audiences across generations. Whether he is inventing the alphabet or merely saving the world from apocalypse, George Antrobus and his formidable family somehow manage to survive – by the skin of their teeth.

"This version of 'Skin of Our Teeth' is unlike any audiences will have seen. I didn't want to set out to copy the original or the recent New York version," said Professor of Theater, Gail Cronauer, who directs the play.

In fact, the Collin Theatre Center production takes place in Superior, Texas, complete with Texas-themed sets, costumes and even props. Texas fans might even be able to spot the Longhorns in the set design.

Join Collin Theatre Center on this epic journey, Oct. 5-7 and 11-14 at 8 p.m. and Oct. 8, 4-15 at 2:15 p.m. Tickets and complete information are available at
