In October, Professors Tracey McKenzie, Meredith Martin and Debra St. John co-presented Cultivating Scholars: Developing an Interdisciplinary Student Research Showcase for Freshmen and Sophomore College Students at the National Social Science Association Fall Professional Development Conference in San Francisco.

Brett Adams, professor of history, presented original research “The Polk County Rebellion” at the Ozark Research Symposium in West Plains, Missouri in late September.

Levi Bryant, professor of philosophy, presented “Reversing Platonism: Towards a Realist Ontology of Simulacra” at the Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association in Snowbird, Utah in October.

Gerry Perkus and Barbara Beverage, professors of English, co-presented “Faculty Caring Behaviors: The Bridge to Success in the Classroom” at the Two-Year College English Association – Southwest Chapter’s 2009 Conference in Little Rock, in October.
