Collin College history professor Melody M. Miyaomto Walters’s book In Love and War: The World War II Courtship Letters of a Nisei Couple was published. The book recounts the wartime experiences of Miyamoto Walters’s grandparents, two second-generation Japanese Americans, living in Hawaii.
“Gender and Sexuality: Perspectives on LGBT History and Current Issues in a Changing World,” a textbook with chapters by Professor of History Michael Phillips and Professor of Humanities Carolyn Perry, was published in September.
Counselor Amy Lenhart was recently quoted in an NBC News article on student relationships surviving the transition from high school to college.
