 Megan Mackay AAST Award

Polysomnographic Technology Class of 2016 graduate Megan Mackay received the 2017 American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST) New Technologist of the Year Award at the SLEEP 2017 Conference in Boston, MA on June 5, 2017. The award is given to a recent graduate of an accredited sleep technology education program who has passed the ABSM or BRPT credentialing exam and attained the RST or RPSGT credential within the past year.

Collin College Polysomnographic Technology AAS Class of 2016 student, Uzma Rashid, has been named the winner of the fifth Andrea Patterson Memorial Scholarship, a $2,500 scholarship awarded by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). This scholarship is awarded annually to one promising student of polysomnography in a CAAHEP or CoARC accredited program. This is the second year in a row that a polysomnographic technology student from Collin College has won this distinguished award. For more information, click here.
