Elaine began her career with Collin College in 1989 as a part-time Advisor. In 1991, she became full-time in her current position as the Career Center Coordinator at the Central Park Campus. Prior to joining Collin College, Elaine enjoyed a variety of careers including: owner of a small fashion boutique, licensed Commodity Pool Operator, and an artist for a gallery on the square in downtown McKinney.
Elaine received a BA degree from the University of Texas at Dallas while her three sons' were still at home. She is a Master Certified Practitioner for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Certified Interviewer, Development Dimensions International and member of Leadership McKinney Chamber of Commerce.
Her suggestion to students is be flexible, outside your comfort zone, take action early in your career planning process. Employers look for well rounded individuals with good "soft" skills - communication skills, ability to work in a team, strong work ethic, leadership, problem solving, technical skills, and self-confidence. Elaine says, “Select a career that makes you happy! I have.”

Career Services Specialist
Teresa has over 12 years of experience in the areas of career services and student employment. She is responsible for leading and managing part-time personnel and student assistants to maintain a professional, valuable and efficient career center.
She has experience with planning, marketing, and facilitating student and community events in academic environments. In addition, she provides tours of the career lab and assists visitors both students and community members in researching occupations and careers.
Teresa is thrilled to be using her international background and her languages (English, French, German and Spanish) to help a diverse student population market their skills and abilities.
Currently, Teresa is completing BAAS with a major in Applied technology and Performance Improvement in the University of North Texas and holds a Foreign Languages Pedagogical studies from the University of Chile.
