What is a PSYCHOLOGICAL EMERGENCY?
 In psychological emergencies:
• Someone is in danger of hurting him/herself or others
• Someone has been traumatized, as by sexual assault or death or injury of someone close to them
• Someone is unable to cope with everyday life in significant ways
If you believe that a student is likely to hurt him/herself or others in the near future:
  • Try not to leave him or her alone
  • Send someone for help if possible
  • Call 911 to arrange medical care and transportation if a suicide attempt is actually in progress
  • Contact Collin's campus police at 972-578-5555 after calling 911
