Collin College policy requires all students and advisors* traveling with students
to complete mandatory online travel orientation (hereafter referred to as “orientation”)
once per academic year (i.e., September 1st – August 31st). This orientation is required
for both day and overnight trips to any location other than a Collin College campus.
The purpose of this orientation is to review college travel procedures, the Student Code of Conduct, and annual college policy revisions affecting student travel.
This orientation and the Mandatory Online Travel Orientation Acknowledgment form must be completed a minimum of three (3) academic calendar days (not including weekends) prior to departure.
In order to fulfill the orientation requirement, all students and advisors must complete the following procedures:
1) Review the entire Student Travel Guidelines presentation.
2) Complete and submit the Mandatory Online Travel Orientation Acknowledgment form. Please note that you will need your nine (9) digit College Wide ID number (CWID) and CougarMail or GroupWise email address to complete this form. Additionally, incomplete forms will not be accepted; therefore, it is important that every blank is filled in appropriately.
*Note: Anyone traveling with students and serving as an advisor, faculty member, coach, advisor of record, or responsible party will be referred to as an “advisor.” All advisors will be required to fulfill their duties as stated in the Student Travel Guidelines presentation.
