We offer introductory, intermediate and advanced level courses to improve English-language learning and communication skills in the workplace. Courses include listening, speaking, reading, and writing at six different levels to help you become fluent and proficient in English. Daytime, afternoon and evening classes are offered every semester at multiple campuses, so enroll today. Our courses are organized to follow successful completion from one level to another.

ESL Communication Improvement
Course Description
Communication Improvement, Intro View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for individuals who speak little or no English. Students practice basic
speaking and listening skills for enhanced job productivity. Improve speaking skills
to minimize
on-the-job miscommunication and safety issues.
Communication Improvement, Level 1 View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for individuals who know some basic English, but cannot form sentences
or have a conversation. Presentation of industry-related basic reading, writing, speaking
and listening skills. Refine oral and written production and listening skills for
enhanced job productivity.
Communication Improvement, Level 2 View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for individuals who know some English and can form simple sentences,
but need conversation, reading, and vocabulary/comprehension improvement. Provides
on-the-job dynamic communicative practice for students whose primary language is other
than English, exposing students to the uses of language in a variety of relevant job-related
contexts.
Communication Improvement, Level 2, Part 1 View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for individuals who know some English and can form simple sentences, but need conversation, reading, and vocabulary/comprehension improvement. Provides on-the-job dynamic communicative practice for students whose primary language is other than English, and exposing students to the uses of language in a variety of relevant job-related contexts. listening, and holding a conversation with others. Improvement in reading vocabulary/comprehension

This class focuses on English comprehension, vocabulary development, and determining
meaning from context. Emphasis on industry-related vocabulary development and skills
acquisition, including determining meaning from context, identifying word forms and
variation in meaning.

This class is for individuals with a high intermediate to advanced speaking, reading,
and writing skills. The focus is on improving parts of the English language such as

Conversation, Intermediate View Schedule - View Syllabus
Students in this class continue to learn vocabulary and improve pronunciation of common
questions and phrases. Improvement of a selected vocabulary of technical/occupational
terms, including appropriate pronunciation or terms and use of English language structures
required by business and industry for successful on-the-job performance.
Conversation, Advanced View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for individuals can speak in sentences and understand common questions
and phrases, but need assistance improving their conversation and listening skills. Mastery
of a selected vocabulary of technical/occupational terms, including appropriate pronunciation
or terms and use of English language structures required by business and industry
for successful on-the-job performance.
Accent Modification View Schedule - View Syllabus
This class is for advanced ESL students who want to learn techniques for applying
more precise North American speech patterns. Concentration is placed on sound pronunciation,
articulation, connected speech, and intonation. Demonstrate orally and in writing
