Collin College Opens Applications For Board Of Trustees Vacancy
July 14, 2014 – The Collin College Board of Trustees is seeking applications to fill a board vacancy for Place 7. The opportunity became available with the recent retirement of founding Trustee Tino Trujillo. The selected individual will be appointed to serve the remainder of Trujillo's term, which ends in 2015. Photography Show at The ARTS Gallery
July 2, 2014 – The ARTS Gallery will present work from Collin College students in the "Photography Portfolio Presents" show. Featured scholarship recipients in the show are Steven Chaney and Tomaneece Smith. Selected works by Collin College students will also be presented, and the show will run from Monday, July 14 through Saturday, August 2. Collin College Hosts Health and Information Professional Development Conference

Collin SBDC Wins Grant
June 20, 2014 – The Collin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) was awarded a $25,000 grant from First National Bank Southwest for community reinvestment. The First National Bank Grant Program is designed to support programs that promote community revitalization, job development and affordable housing in the communities within which First National Bank operates. They were presented with their awards at the Texas Society for Respiratory Care Annual Convention. Jun. 2, 2014 - Student veterans who have received a medic certification or its equivalent can get on the fast track to an associate degree in nursing through Collin College.Now, students can use the credits they earned in the military and can receive an associate degree in nursing in as little as three semesters.
