Collin Theatre Center Opens Season With "Our Town"

Collin College Awards Faculty and Staff
September 2, 2014 – Collin College honored several of its employees recently at its All College Day on Friday, Aug. 15. Dr. Amina El-Ashmawy, professor of chemistry, was named the Full-Time Collin College Professor of the Year. El-Ashmawy, of Prosper, has been a full-time professor at Collin College more than 25 years. She earned her master of science degree Texas A&M University and her doctorate from the University of North Texas. In 2013 she was named as a prestigious American Chemistry Society Fellow. Leah Beck, professor of mathematics, was named the Part-Time Collin College Professor of the Year. Beck, of McKinney, has been with the college for one year and earned her Master of Science degree from Texas Woman's University.
