The Collin College Foundation is proud to award over 600 scholarships per year to deserving students. Our scholarship opportunities are based on a variety of factors such as financial need, community involvement, residency, academics, or program major. 

Currently, there are no scholarships available for Continuing Education classes, athletic programs or summer classes.

We highly recommend that you read the FAQ's and Helpful Tips before applying for any scholarships.

 Application Process for Current Collin College or Dual Credit Students

In order to be eligible to apply for a Collin College scholarship, students must have the following:

1. Valid CougarMail email
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher (cumulative)
3. Must commit to taking and maintaining at least 6 credit hours per semester (Fall 2018 & Spring 2019) at Collin College.

4. If Dual Credit, you must be in your senior year of high school as of Fall 2018.


Are you attending Collin College in the Fall 2018?  If yes, complete the general application for the 2018/2019 academic year. Deadline to apply: midnight March 25, 2018! 

Have you been accepted into the Collin College Nursing Program for Summer 2018?  If yes, complete the general application. There is a limited number of Summer scholarships available for "Nursing program" students. Be sure to answer question #7 as "second semester."

 Process for High School Students

If you have not yet completed a Collin College admissions application: please complete a free Collin College admissions application and be accepted as a student prior to applying for a scholarship. For more information visit

Three working days after receiving your student ID number and cougarmail email, you may sign up for the scholarship application system.


Application Process for Students Transferring to a 4-year University in Fall 2018  

If you have been a Collin College student for the past 2 years and are transferring to a 4-year University in Fall 2018, the Foundation offers 2 different transfer scholarships (Lebrecht Hites and HI-TECC).  Applications will be accepted now through - March 25.

Application Process for SMART Scholarships - (STEM students who attend Collin College and plan to attend UTD upon graduation)

Applications are accepted NOW through March 25, 2018:

SMART Scholarships are valid for Collin College classes and funded through Texas Instruments. We will offer several scholarships valued at $3,000 each.

Criteria: student must be majoring in Engineering, Math, Science or Computer Science, must be attending Collin College full-time in the Fall 2018, and must intend to transfer to UT Dallas upon receiving their associates degree at Collin College within 2 years.

Requirements: In addition to completing the general application form, SMART Scholarship applicants are required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation, preferably from a teacher, professor or guidance counselor. The Scholarship Coordinator will contact you about how and when to submit the letters.

How to Apply: On the general application, select "SMART" on question #3 (desired field of study) in order to be eligible for the SMART scholarship. If you are not chosen for the SMART scholarship, your application will be eligible for other scholarship opportunities.
