Application Process for Current Students


Please note: We will be unable to accept paper applications.  

In order to be eligible to apply, students must have the following:

1. Collin College Student ID (CWID)
2. Valid CougarMail email
3. GPA of 2.5 or higher
4. Maintain at least 6 credit hours per semester

Please be prepared to provide essays and other general information. 

 

 Process for New Students to Collin College


Starting Oct 1, 2017 through August 2018, you will need to complete a Collin College admissions application and be accepted as a student prior to applying for a scholarship. For more information visit http://collin.edu/gettingstarted/admissions/index.html

Then, three working days after receiving your student ID number and cougarmail email, you may sign up for the scholarship application system.

 

Application Process for SMART Scholarships


Applications are only accepted during the Jan - March cycle.

SMART Scholarships are open to students majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or Computer Science AND transferring to UT Dallas. In addition to completing the online application form, SMART Scholarship applicants are required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation, preferably from a teacher, professor or guidance counselor.

 

Application Process for Transferring Students 


Applications are only accepted during the Jan 15 - March 25, 2018 open application cycle. 

If you are transferring from Collin College to a North Texas four-year institution, you may qualify to apply for the LeBrecht-Hites Transfer Scholarship. This $6,000 scholarship is awarded to one applicant per year and paid out over four semesters. In order to apply, the applicant must have at least a 3.5 GPA and have shown active involvement or leadership in student activities or volunteering. Further details will be posted in January.
