The Collin College Foundation is proud to announce that we recently award over 650 scholarships for the 2018/2019 academic year to deserving students. More scholarships will be announced during the coming month of May. All award notifications are sent via cougarmail email. Our scholarship opportunities are based on a variety of factors such as financial need, community involvement, residency, academics, or program major.  

We are not accepting applications at this time. The deadline to apply for Fall 2018 scholarships was March 25th.  Our next open cycle will be in September 1  through Oct 15. Please check back with us at that time.  Currently, we do not offer scholarships for Continuing Education classes, athletic programs or summer classes.


 Application Process for Current Collin College or Dual Credit Students

In order to be eligible to apply for a Collin College scholarship, students must have the following:

1. Valid CougarMail email
2. GPA of 2.5 or higher (cumulative)
3. Must commit to taking and maintaining at least 6 credit hours per semester (Fall 2018 & Spring 2019) at Collin College.

4. If Dual Credit, you must be in your senior year of high school as of Fall 2018.




 Application Process for Students Transferring to a 4-year University in Fall 2018  

If you have been a Collin College student for the past 2 years and are transferring to a 4-year University in Fall 2018, the Foundation offers 2 different transfer scholarships (Lebrecht Hites and HI-TECC).  Applications are closed.


Application Process for SMART Scholarships - (STEM students who attend Collin College and plan to attend UTD upon graduation)

Applications are closed.

SMART Scholarships are valid for Collin College classes and funded through Texas Instruments. We will offer several scholarships valued at $3,000 each.

Criteria: student must be majoring in Engineering, Math, Science or Computer Science, must be attending Collin College full-time in the Fall 2018, and must intend to transfer to UT Dallas upon receiving their associates degree at Collin College within 2 years.

Requirements: In addition to completing the general application form, SMART Scholarship applicants are required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation, preferably from a teacher, professor or guidance counselor. The Scholarship Coordinator will contact you about how and when to submit the letters.
