The following checklist offers step-by-step instruction on how to get started.

Step 1:
Admit by completing an Admissions Application and requirements. If you've never attended Collin College or if you have not attended Collin within the past year, an application for admission is necessary. You're welcome to apply online.

 

Upon completion of the admissions process, new students to Collin will automatically get an email from the Admissionsarea of Student and Enrollment Services that provides the following information: CougarWeb username; CougarWeb password; CougarMail address and Campus Wide ID (CWID). All First-Time in college students are required to complete New Student Orientation prior to registering for courses. Orientation information and registration can be found at www.collin.edu/orientation.

 

The schedule of classes is also available online. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions area of Student and Enrollment Services.

 

Step 2Provide official transcripts from all institutions attended. Students who do not have an official transcript including final grades for the current semester will be required to submit a Conditional Registration Contract before being able to register. 


Step 3: Provide proof of meningitis vaccination (if needed).

Step 4:
Assessment Testing, if needed. For testing information click here.

Step 5: Visit with an Academic Advisor to determine Degree PlansVisit the Advising section of this site for complete information concerning Collin's Academic Advisors and the advising process.

Step 6:
Build your class schedule by selecting credit classes from e-schedule. The e-schedule can be accessed in the Academics section of this website or via CougarWeb. (Summer 2017 e-schedule is available starting February 20; Fall 2017 e-schedule will be available April 4) Determine convenient campus locations, class days/times, and obtain the class registration number (CRN).

Step 7:
Register through CougarWeb.  Current students will sign on using their current CougarWeb username (which is the first part of their CougarMail email address, i.e. jsmith138). The initial password is the last six digits of the Campus Wide ID (CWID).

If you do not have your username and password, you may email admissions@collin.edu. Requests should include the student's full legal name and date of birth.
