Law Enforcement Academy

About Our Program

Collin College Law Enforcement Academy classroom courses are limited to sworn (active law enforcement), representatives of law enforcement (employee of an agency/academy), honorably retired law enforcement, and individuals currently licensed by TCOLE (active license but not employed by a law enforcement agency). Firearms, defensive tactics, and reality-based classes are limited to sworn (active law enforcement) and representatives of law enforcement (employee of an agency/academy). Proper identification may be requested for all classes.

All Law Enforcement Academy courses are offered at Collin College's Public Safety Training Center.

BPOC (Basic Police Officer Certification) 

Training as a peace officer at Collin College Law Enforcement Academy is a great way to start an exciting career. Students work with instructors who are experienced peace officers. Studies include topics that reflect real-life situations. We maintain relationships with area police agencies as prospective employers for graduates.
