Complaint, Grievance, and Appeal Submission Information

Collin College is dedicated to fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment. If you have an academic or non-academic concern, clear procedures are in place to help you resolve it. This page explains how to file a student complaint, appeal, or grievance, ensuring your concerns are heard and addressed fairly and promptly.

Academic Grade Appeal

No later than the last regular day of the first long semester after receiving the grade.
Note: the student MUST meet to discuss the grade with the professor and the Dean prior to submitting a grade appeal or it will not be considered.

Procedures for Complaints Against Students

On or before the tenth (10th) College District business day following the administrative decision issued by the Dean of Students Office, Disciplinary Appeal Committee, or designated Leadership Team member.
