Dec. 8, 2021 Collin College has been recognized with a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 24thyear in a row by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).

The college was awarded the certificate for its annual comprehensive financial report for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

The certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to the GFOA. The annual comprehensive financial report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program which the GFOA says includes demonstrating a constructive spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
