Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the annual Power Leadership Breakfast in his honor beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, in Collin College’s Plano Campus Living Legends Conference Center. This annual celebration of Dr. King’s life and work is free and open to the public.

This year’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Power Leadership Breakfast theme is “I can. You can. We can. Live the dream together.” The breakfast will include presentations and student performances sharing Dr. King’s message, along with a keynote speech by Pastor Jeremy Williams of Hill Chapel CME Church in Plano.

“This year’s Power Leadership Breakfast reminds us that Dr. King’s message of hope and unity is within our reach when we work together,” said Dr. Albert Tezeno, event co-chair. “We encourage the community to attend and celebrate the vision of a more loving, just, and equitable world.”

Organizers expect a large turnout, so attendees should plan to arrive early if possible. Collin College’s Facebook account will also livestream the event for those who cannot attend. Visit www.facebook.com/collincollege to watch.

This year's MLK Power Leadership Breakfast is sponsored by AECOM and IN2 Architecture.

A business and information expo will take place immediately following the Power Leadership Breakfast in the Plano Campus atrium. The public is invited to visit with local vendors and nonprofit organizations. The Plano Campus is located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway.
