Collin College will offer a variety of camps this summer for students. Participants can select camps ranging from automotive exploration to video production, and certain subjects are repeated at multiple campuses. The following camps are located on the college’s campuses in Allen, Celina, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, and Wylie.
Allen
Automotive Exploration Camp
Monday and Tuesday, June 2-3, 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Technical Campus, 2550 Bending Branch Way, Allen
Are you ready to learn about exciting opportunities in the automotive industry? This
camp is open to students entering ninth through 12th grade. Students will explore
the essential function, maintenance, and light repair of automobiles related to vehicle
ownership and safety associated with maintaining a vehicle, all on vehicles supplied
by the college. The students will encounter fluids and chemicals, fumes, and brake
dust. Due to the nature of the environment, those with sensitivities may be susceptible
to skin and respiratory reactions. The college will provide safety glasses, gloves,
and other safety equipment. Students will also receive a camp T-shirt. The cost is

Celina
eSports and Gaming Camp in Collaboration with Celina ISD
Monday-Thursday, June 2-5 and June 16-19, 9 a.m.-Noon
Moore Middle School, 300 E. GA Moore Parkway, Celina
The eSports summer camp offers gamers a unique opportunity to enhance their skills
and knowledge in competitive gaming. This camp is for students entering sixth through
10th grade. Under the guidance of an experienced coach, participants engage in intense
training sessions, strategic workshops, and team-building exercises. Through a combination
of gameplay analysis and practical exercises, campers develop crucial teamwork, communication,
and decision-making skills essential for success in the eSports arena. By the end
of the camp, attendees will not only refine their gameplay abilities but also forge
lasting connections with fellow gamers in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Drone Camp in Collaboration with Celina ISD

Drone Camp allows secondary students to learn programming using autonomous aerial
vehicles or drones. This four-day camp is for students entering grades six through
nine and provides an introduction to programming, aerial drone flying, and ethics.
The camp is designed to be accessible to any secondary student who is interested in
drone technology. No previous programming experience is required, and all skill levels

Robotics Camp in Collaboration with Celina ISD

Robotics Camp will introduce students to basic robotics building and coding principles.
Robots will be built using the current high school robotics equipment used for the
VEX Robotics competitions. This camp will help participants get familiar with the
VEX Robotics system. No previous robotics experience is required. The cost is $100.

Health Science Camp in Collaboration with Celina ISD

This summer camp provides aspiring medical professionals with a fun and educational
experience in the world of healthcare. Participants will learn essential first-aid
procedures, CPR, and basic emergency response skills under the guidance of a trained
professional. Through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations, campers
will explore various medical careers and practice life-saving techniques. The camp
fosters confidence and teamwork while emphasizing the importance of safety and preparedness.
By the end of the camp, attendees will leave with valuable healthcare knowledge, an
AHA Heartsaver Certification, and a passion for helping others. The cost is $100.

Storytelling Through Gameplay Camp

art of fantasy world-building. This camp is for students entering grades eight through
12. Students will design and write characters and bring an entirely new world to life

Culinary Camp in Collaboration with Celina ISD

This basic culinary summer camp will provide aspiring chefs with a fun and educational
experience in the kitchen. Participants will learn essential cooking techniques, meal
preparation skills, and kitchen safety under the guidance of a trained professional.
Through hands-on cooking sessions and interactive demonstrations, campers will create
and explore various dishes. The camp fosters creativity and confidence in the kitchen
while emphasizing the importance of healthy eating habits. By the end of the camp,
attendees will leave with newfound culinary knowledge and a passion for cooking. The

Content Creators Camp

research, and practice writing different genres. This camp is for students entering
grades eight through 12. Campers will write their own original works inspired by the

Body Lab Camp

Campers will explore the inner workings of the human body by doing hands-on experiments.
This camp is for students entering grades five through six. Attendees will experiment
with a functioning heart in a specimen, learn about germs and immune function, interact
with the digestive and nervous systems, and observe a dissected cow heart and sheep

Lego Camp

This camp will focus on physics concepts, building design, and group problem-solving,
all using Legos. This camp is for students entering grades five through six. Attendees
will learn different ways to power a car, participate in a Lego Masters-like build

Challenge Survival Camp

explorers. This camp is for students entering grades seven through eight. Participants
will learn to master essential survival skills – from water purification to teamwork

Farmersville
Junior Nature Explorers Camp
Monday-Thursday, June 2-5 and June 9-12, 9 a.m.-Noon
Farmersville Campus, 501 S. Collin Parkway, Farmersville
Students entering grades four through six will engage in an eight-day, hands-on, field-based
experience to learn how to “bring nature home.” Campers will learn about habitat preservation
and stewardship while exploring concepts in geoscience, native plants, agriculture,
and animals, such as mammals, birds, insects, and more. All hands-on and field experiences
will take place at the Farmersville Campus. The cost is $175 and includes snacks.

Crime Scene Investigation Camp
Tuesday-Thursday, July 8-10, 9 a.m.-Noon
Farmersville Campus, 501 S. Collin Parkway, Farmersville
Learn hands-on forensic investigation techniques at the Crime Scene Investigation
summer camp. Experts in criminal justice will take participants through exercises
that apply forensic methods to prepare crime scenes. Participants will learn proper
search procedures as well as identification, documentation, preservation, and collection
of crime scene evidence including fingerprints, DNA, blood, and shoe and tire impressions.
Mock crime scene activities and evidence are age appropriate and challenging. Campers
entering grades nine through 12 are eligible to attend. The cost is $100 per participant

Video Production Camp
Monday-Wednesday, July 14-16, 1-4 p.m.
Frisco Campus, IT Center: Room 103, 9700 Wade Blvd., Frisco
This camp, for students ages 13 through 18, will dedicate three half-days to teaching
participants how to operate professional video equipment in order to collaboratively
create a project. Previous projects have ranged from commercials to mini-documentaries
and live TV shows. This camp will cover hands-on instruction from Collin College faculty
and provide a take-home USB flash drive containing campers’ work. The cost is $175.

Jewelry Camp

Frisco Campus, Library (Art Hall) Room L131, 9700 Wade Blvd., Frisco
This camp will introduce students ages 13 through 18 to basic jewelry fabrication
techniques in non-ferrous metals. Students will be instructed in the use of hand and
power tools and learn skills such as cutting, filing, finishing, and fastening techniques.
Through this interactive, hands-on camp, students will be able to create small, jewelry-scale

Nurse Camp/Health Science Investigation Camp

This camp is for students entering grades seven through 12 who are interested in learning
more about the healthcare field. Offering unique opportunities for participants, this camp will
provide hands-on experience including assisting medical personnel during simulations
and sensory activities, utilizing industry-standard equipment, and participating in
demonstrations. This camp will focus on healthcare areas such as health professions,

Texas All-Star Jazz Camp

The Texas All-Star Jazz Camp is open to musicians of all levels with a minimum age
of 13. The curriculum includes jazz theory, improvisation, jazz history/listening,
instrumental masterclasses on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drums,
and ensembles – big bands and combos. Jazz camp faculty include members of the Collin
College Music Department as well as jazz performers and educators from across the
country. Early bird registration is open through April 20 with a tuition of $300.

College for Kids is a summer youth enrichment program for students entering grades
seven through nine. Students will participate in project-based inquiry and exploration
courses where they will discover new talents, meet new friends, and develop the knowledge
and skills to begin thinking and planning for college success. This year’s camp will
offer new and revamped courses with options including Chemistry, Anatomy, Animation
and Visual Effects, Art Fusion, Science in Action, Architecture, and Student Rock
Band. Also, new this year, scholarships are available. The fee is $250. Spots are
