About Collin College's Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (ASFSR)

Safety and security is a concern for all members of the Collin College community including students, employees, and visitors. In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1092(f) (Clery Act), Collin College prepares and provides to the entire campus community the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.

Additional Information


Information contained in the ASFSR includes, but is not limited to:

 

1. Campus crime, arrest, and referral statistics (i.e., campus crime statistics) for the previous three (3) calendar years, which include incidents reported to the Collin College Police Department, designated campus security authorities (CSAs), and local law enforcement agencies;
2. Policies, procedures, and information on emergency plans, emergency notifications, and timely warning notices;
3. Policies and procedures for alcohol and drug use;
4. Policies and procedures for investigating reports of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking;
5. Information on the Collin College Police Department;
6. Information on how and to whom to report a crime;
7. Campus and community resources available to victims; and
8. Fire safety information and fire statistics for the previous three (3) calendar years for Collin College Student Housing.


Each ASFSR is prepared in cooperation with the local law enforcement agencies surrounding Collin College’s main campuses, centers, and alternative sites; Collin College Student Housing and Resident Life staff; the Collin College Police Department; the District Dean of Students Office; and the Human Resources Department (HR). Each entity provides updated information on their educational efforts and programs to comply with the Clery Act annually.


No corrections have been made to the 2021, 2022, or 2023 ASFSRs.
