    Visit the Collin Higher Education Center

    The Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) opened for classes January 2010.  Located in the northeast corner of the intersection of State Highway 121 and 75 Central Expressway, the CHEC is home to Collin College district offices and five university partners offering courses toward their baccalaureate and graduate degrees. 

    For assistance in mapping your drive to the CHEC, see these links:
    Google Maps - Best source; actually pinpoints the CHEC address exactly.  The CHEC building location is on the Northwest corner of the marked intersection.
    Yahoo Maps - Gets close.  Recognizes the highway, but not the street address.  The actual building location is just a block east of where the label shows.
    MapQuest - Doesn't recognize "Spur 399".  This map shows the intersection of Medical Center Drive and Gateway Boulevard, which is the intersection on the back side of the CHEC building.
    Bing Maps - Doesn't recognize "Spur 399".  This map shows the intersection of Gateway Boulevard and Central Expressway (US-75). The CHEC building location is a block east of where the label shows.

    If using a mobile GPS device in your car or on your phone, please be aware that many of them will not be able to locate either "Spur 399" or the street address.  You may want to try variations of the street name, such as "Texas Highway 399", or "Texas 399", or "Highway 399".  If none of those work, try entering it as the intersection of "Medical Center Drive and Gateway Blvd.".  Please note that many GPS units may direct you to "Spur Lane", which is nowhere near the CHEC building site.

    Driving Directions

    From the North:
    Take US-75 (Central Expressway) South.
    Exit the clover leaf with signs for Highway 5.
    Take the first exit, which is Medical Center Drive.
    Take the turn-around at the Medical Center Drive intersection.
    Entrances are the first two on the right.

    From the South:
    Take US-75 (Central Expressway) North.
    Exit 38B (Medical Center Drive) and follow the blue H (hospital) signs to Medical Center Drive
    Take the turn-around or left turn at the Medical Center Drive intersection.
    Entrances are the first two on the right.

    From the East:
    Take Highway 380 West
    Turn left, heading South on Highway 5/North McDonald Street.
    Bear right onto Spur 399/South McDonald Street.
    Entrances are on the right just past the Medical Center Drive intersection.

    From the West:
    Take Sam Rayburn Tollway (TX Highway 121) East.
    Exit at Medical Center Drive.
    Take the turn-around at the Medical Center Drive intersection.
    Entrances are the first two on the right.
