"The Life of DREAMers" - Monday, September 12, 2016.

History Professor Michael Phillips interviewed two experts on American immigration policy. They discussed how immigration influenced this year’s presidential campaign, and the proposed so-called DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act that would grant conditional residency with a path to permanent residency for undocumented residents who entered the country as children.

Joining Phillips is longtime award-winning Dallas Morning News columnist Mercedes Olivera, and Ramiro Luna Hinojosa, born in Monterrey, Mexico, who was brought to Oak Cliff, Texas as a child. Hinojosa considers the United States his home country and has devoted his life to activism on behalf of immigrant rights and reform of immigration laws.
