Animation and Game Art at Collin

Build a career in 3-D animation or game art that turns ideas into immersive experiences.

Collin College's Animation & Game Art program prepares students to take a project from concept to completion, combining creative development with technical execution. Students develop skills in storytelling, 3-D animation, modeling, and concept/character development used in entertainment, advertising, industrial visualization, and corporate media, while strengthening visual storytelling and design fundamentals.

The program also emphasizes 2-D and 3-D art for interactive media, including asset creation, level design principles, and real-time graphics workflows. Through collaborative, project-based coursework, students gain experience working in environments that reflect professional studio pipelines.

Students learn from faculty with direct industry experience-full-time professors and working professionals who bring current tools, practices, and expectations into the classroom to help prepare students for careers in animation, game art, and related creative fields
