Weekend College Benefits

  • Go at your own pace. Enroll full-time and graduate in two to three years or attend part-time and take as long as you wish to complete your AS/AA or AAT degree.
  • Plan your education around your schedule.
  • Transfer credits earned on the weekend to a university toward a bachelor's degree.
  • Update your skills for the workplace.
  • Enter the workforce with an associate's degree or certificate.

Degrees and Certificates

Weekend College classes provide the opportunity to complete and Associate of Arts (AA) or an Associate of Science (AS) in general studies, an Associate of Arts in Teaching*, or an Associate of Applied Science**.

*Some AAT courses may require lab hours to be completed outside of the weekend time frame.  ** Certain AAS degress have specific core course requirements. Please see the course catalog or an academic advisor for more information.

Weekend Classes are for:

  • Single parents, stay-at-home parents and parents who lack childcare during the week making attending traditional classes difficult.
  • Traditional Monday-Friday students wanting to accelerate their degree completion by taking additonal classes on the weekend.
  • Individuals needing collge hours quickly for military enlistment.
  • Persons seeking a career change.
  • People working full-time needing college credit for advancement and promotion.
  • Individuals planning to re-enter the job market and need new skills.
  • Anyone whose family or professional responsibilities make it difficult to attend regular classes during the weekdays or evenings.
  • Those wanting a classroom component when taking a hybrid/blended online course.
