Calling 911 from a cell phone on any Collin College campus will connect you to the 911 call center for the city where the campus is located. The city’s emergency dispatchers will coordinate the appropriate response, including notifying the Collin College Police Department (CCPD) if needed.

Calling 911 from a Collin College landline will connect you directly to CCPD Dispatch, ensuring a fast response from campus police.

In life-threatening situations, always dial 911 first. If calling from a Collin College landline, your call will go directly to CCPD Dispatch. If calling from a cell phone, 911 will route your call to the local city emergency services.

The Collin College Police Department (CCPD) values professionalism, dedication, and outstanding service while remaining committed to accountability and transparency.
We encourage you to share feedback by commending an officer’s performance or filing a formal complaint if you believe an officer or employee has acted inappropriately.


To submit a commendation, please contact the on-duty supervisor at the campus where the officer is assigned. Commendations can be made by calling the CCPD non-emergency number, 972.881.5656, where dispatch will connect you with the appropriate supervisor.

  • Complaints must be submitted in writing and signed by the person filing the complaint.
  • Complaint forms are available online and in paper form at any CCPD office.
  • To file a complaint, submit your completed form to the on-duty supervisor or CCPD’s Professional Standards Lieutenant.

The Complaint Process

  • All complaints are reviewed and investigated thoroughly.
  • Minor complaints may be handled by the employee’s supervisor.
  • Serious allegations (e.g., misconduct, excessive force) are investigated by the Professional Standards Unit.
  • Complainants will receive updates and be informed of the final resolution
