CCPD officers provide limited motorist assistance to help with common vehicle-related issues. Services are offered as officer availability allows.
Jump Starts
Officers can provide a jump start using portable equipment carried in patrol vehicles.
Vehicle Lockouts
Officers may only unlock vehicles in emergency situations — such as a child or animal
locked inside in immediate danger. Otherwise, officers can help you contact a towing
or locksmith service.
Tire Changes
Officers are not authorized to change flat tires. However, they can assist with contacting
roadside assistance or a towing service.
Motorist Assistance Waiver
Before receiving help, individuals must agree to a motorist assistance waiver, either
by signing a form or providing verbal consent on camera (body-worn or vehicle-mounted).
To request assistance, call CCPD Dispatch at 972.881.5656.
In emergencies, always dial 911.
CCPD does not maintain the official Lost and Found for Collin College campuses. If
you have lost an item, please visit the Student Engagement Office at the campus where
the item was last seen.
If a CCPD officer locates a lost item, it will be turned into the Lost and Found at
the corresponding campus Student Engagement Office, unless the item is illegal, in
which case it will be handled according to police department procedures.
For assistance with lost items, contact the Student Engagement Office at your campus.
