Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Resilience and agility are what make supply chains thrive in today’s rapidly changing world. Becoming CPIM certified shows employers that you know how to effectively manage disruptions, demand variations and supply chain risk.

With a CPIM certification, you will develop the competencies you need to successfully work across all functions of the supply chain. In addition, you'll have the knowledge to better respond to supply disruptions, demand variations, and manage supply chain risk.

Collin College Continuing Education offers the following ASCM CPIM certification preparation courses:

  • ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) Part 1 Preparation Course - This is 1 of 2 certification preparation courses to prepare for the globally recognized CPIM 1 designation through ASCM. The learning objectives are a basic introduction to supply chain management. Students will gain knowledge, learn skills and best practices required to execute, control, and improve internal operations, within their company. Enrollment includes online tools, textbooks, in addition, to live instructor sessions to properly prepare students to pass the CPIM 1 exam.
  • ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) Part 2 Preparation Course - This is 2 of 2 certification preparation courses to prepare for the globally recognized CPIM 1 designation through ASCM. The learning objectives are knowledge in strategic management of resources, master planning of resources, detailed scheduling and planning, and, execution control of operations. Enrollment includes online tools, textbooks, in addition, to live instructor sessions to properly prepare students to pass the CPIM 2 exam.

In addition to ASCM training, Collin College also offers a Continuing Education Certificate Series in Operations and Supply Chain Management, along with an Academic Program in Supply Chain Management.
