Esthetician Program

The Collin College Esthetician program is an entry-level noncredit certificate designed to prepare students for state licensure. Student learners will be provided with the skills, knowledge, and training necessary to transition into thriving careers as Facial Esthetics and Skincare Specialists.

Students will be trained to recognize, assess, and perform aesthetic treatments and procedures (i.e., skin analysis, skincare product advising, specialized facials, manual, and chemical exfoliation, etc.) designed to improve the overall health, and condition of the skin. Completers will obtain the expertise needed to work in cosmetic spas, medical spas, cosmetic laser centers, dermatology clinics, cosmetic surgery skincare centers, resorts, etc.

The Esthetician program will consist of 750 state-required classroom, and lab training hours. Students will utilize the onsite aesthetic lab to train and perform skin care procedures. Upon successfully completing the program, students will be eligible to take the written and practical exams in Facial Esthetics. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) regulates the exams. Students will also receive an Aesthetics certificate of completion issued by Collin College.
