Collin College has once again been recognized by the Great Colleges to Work For® program as one of the best educational institutions in the nation to work for. The college has been honored seven times, including recognitions over the past six years.

The Great Colleges to Work For® program, one of the largest and most respected workplace-recognition programs in the country, recognizes the colleges that get top ratings from their employees regarding workplace practices and policies. Overall, 216 institutions participated in the 2024 survey, of which only 75 were recognized.

“This recognition by Great Colleges to Work For® is an exceptional honor, and it is especially rewarding to receive it for the seventh time,” said Dr. Neil Matkin, Collin College district president. “Our faculty, staff, and administrators do an excellent job of educating our students, and it warms my heart to know they appreciate the work Collin College does to make their work lives better.”

Collin College was recognized in the Professional Development and Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness categories. The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captures employment data and workplace policies from each institution, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition was the employee feedback.

Collin College has been honored in 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2012.
