The Art Gallery will host the exhibition “Mediated Landscapes: Paintings of Slowness and Resistance in Everyday Spaces” by guest artist Jennifer Seibert from Jan. 5 through Jan. 29, 2026. A closing reception is planned from 4-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026 with an artist talk at 5:30 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
Seibert’s works demonstrate a commitment to capturing the overlooked spaces of daily experience – parking lot views, roadside plantings, creekside walks, suburban roads – elevating the mundane through sustained attention and painterly sensitivity. This deliberate deceleration invites a reflexive examination of perception itself: questioning what we see, how we see it, and what goes unnoticed in our technology-mediated relationship to both internal and external spaces.
The gallery is located on Collin College’s Plano Campus, room A175, 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday.
