Collin College to Hold December 2025 Commencement

Collin College will celebrate the accomplishments of summer and fall students with a commencement ceremony at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, 200 E. Stacy Road in Allen. Doors will open 90 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.
President of Methodist Richardson Medical Center Ken Hutchenrider, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, will deliver the commencement address. During his tenure, he has administered the assimilation of the hospital into the Methodist Health System, as well as the development of the current hospital at President George Bush Turnpike and Renner Road. In addition to overseeing hospital expansions, his accomplishments include the establishment of a new wound care center and Level III Nursery, the development of the Da Vinci Surgical Program, Level III Trauma Program, and Comprehensive Stroke Program, the successful recruitment/employment of new medical staff members, and the prestigious nursing designation as a Magnet facility. In 2018, he was elected to serve on the Richardson City Council in Place 5 and currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem. Hutchenrider is actively involved in the community and has served as the chairman of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and president of the Plano Independent School District Foundation. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy and Richardson ISD Healthcare Careers Academy.
