Join Collin College for a showing of and discussion about 'Memento' at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at the McKinney Campus Conference Center. The screening and subsequent panel discussion are free and open to the public.

Memento, a psychological thriller, follows character Leonard Shelby, who is suffering from short-term memory loss as he looks for the person responsible for his wife’s murder. The narrative unfolds in a non-linear format, which reflects Leonard’s struggle to piece together clues and memories. The film follows this year’s Auteur Film Series theme, “Allegories of the Cave,” as it explores perception, reality, and the quest for truth.

The Auteur Film Series presents classic, foreign, and independent films with brief educational introductions before each screening and faculty-led panel discussions afterward. The film series is designed to challenge the viewer’s intellect and encourage conversations that engage students in civil discourse.

The films will all be shown at 7 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before each film begins, and seating is limited. For more information on the Auteur Film Series, including film ratings, visit www.collin.edu/academics/auteurfilms or call 972.881.5140.
