Collin College Technical Campus Hosts Preview Day, Car Meet

Collin College Technical Campus will host its sixth annual Preview Day, formally known as the “open house,” from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. Visitors will learn about the many programs the comprehensive campus offers, from Automotive Technology, Pharmacy Technician, and Computer Aided Drafting and Design to the college’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Management. Information about the college’s partnership programs with Texas A&M University, Texas State University, and The University of Texas at Dallas will also be available.

For car enthusiasts, the event will also feature a car meet from 9 a.m.-noon and showcase the college’s most recent partnerships with automotive manufacturers to train the next generation of Automotive Technology technicians. Department demonstrations will take place throughout the campus, including a special appearance by a robotic dog and other advanced robotic displays by the Engineering, Computer Science, and Engineering Technology Departments. Virtual welding machines will be available for interaction. The event will also feature the 2D- and 3D-printing labs that support the Interior Design and Computer-Aided Drafting and Design programs, as well as master electricians and plumbers from the Architecture and Construction Programs.

The Starbucks on campus will be open for breakfast, and the Cougar Café will be open for lunch. Other fun food options are planned throughout the day at different parts of the campus. Promotional items will be available from many of the Technical Campus’ programs and vendors supporting this event while supplies last.
