Humanities

Study the artistic works, philosophy, literature and the other cultural touchstones that make up the basis of modern culture with humanities studies at Collin College. Courses provide a broad overview of cultural traditions and the influence of literature, philosophy and the arts on civilization. You will learn to make connections between different subjects and disciplines, and approach literature, philosophy and art from a variety of perspectives. There are dozens of humanities courses for you to explore at Collin.

To earn an associate degree, complete the 42 credit hour General Education Core, and 18 credit hours of general studies electives and the Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree requirements. Check with your transfer institution before registering for general studies electives to make sure your courses will be degree applicable to your bachelor degree at the transfer institution.
