Work ethically, legally, responsibly and conscientiously under the Texas Board of Nursing (TBON) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Scope of Practice and Code of Conduct.
Use systematic problem-solving process in the care of multiple patients with predictable health care needs.
Operate computer technology by way of electronic medical records (EHR) to maintain consistency and continuity of patient care.
Administer medications to patients using safe pharmacological concepts and monitor the patients for effectiveness, side effects and/or adverse reactions.
Collect data and information, recognize changes in conditions, and report to the RN supervisor or another appropriate clinical supervisor.
Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to maximize best patient outcomes.
Provide safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to patients.
