Mediation and Conflict Management

Conflict is a fact of life both within organizations as well as families.  However, problem-solving skills can be learned and applied in all areas of work and life.  The Conflict Management Certificate includes the four courses below with training in essential skills needed to resolve conflict, mediate, and negotiate successful results for all parties involved.  Students must achieve a 90% attendance for each course to fulfill the certificate requirements.

Additionally,  as a stand-alone course, the Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate Training  course provides education, training, and skill development for students interested in serving as a neutral third-party court-appointed mediator.  Students will analyze various case studies and role play a mediation session.  The Mediation and Dispute Resolution Certificate course meets the 40-hour requirement per Texas State Law Section 154.052.  The course will also meet the Standards of the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act (Texas ADR). 

Upon completion of all courses, email CECertificate@collin.edu to request your certificate.  Please allow up to four (4) weeks to receive your certificate.
