What is the Dignity Initiative?
The Dignity Initiative is a districtwide effort to educate the campus community about
gender-based violence and to empower community members with specific actions to end
gender-based violence. We envision a future in which everyone is treated with respect
and honored as valuable members of cultures around the world. The Dignity Initiative
was developed in December of 2013 and launched in August of 2014. Every fall and
spring semester, Dignity Initiative programming is included at different campuses
to address the needs of our college community.
