Our amazing professors and testing staff will guide you to your customized academic pathway through our English learning program. ESL at Collin College has three levels of mastery and a variety of courses to help you learn and practice academic and conversational English.
Program Courses
Courses include Listening & Speaking, Grammar, Reading, Writing, Pronunciation, Vocabulary & Idioms, and Test-taking Skills. Courses are available on three different levels based on mastery. One-on-one placement testing ensures that you are on the right path to reach your goals.

Do you like to read for fun? Join the ESL Book Club to enjoy reading an English novel and discussing in fun and relaxed social meetings every week. This semester's club is open to all levels and we will be reading Holes by Louis Sachar.
Conversation Partners Begins

The Conversation Partners program is an amazing opportunity for English as a Second Language students to partner with native English speakers in conversation groups. The groups will begin their weekly meetings this week at the time slot you were assigned. Check your Collin.edu email for your assigned group time and meeting place.
Celebration of Achievement

The ESL Celebration of Achievement is an event to honor the hard work and accomplishments of our ESL students. There will be food, speeches from students, and a ceremony to recognize students who have completed the ESL program and are taking the next steps in their academic and personal journeys. All ESL students, their friends and families, and the community are invited to attend!
