What type of student are you?

Choose your student status from the following options to learn more about the international admission requirements. But first, don't forget to review the application deadlines to ensure you submit your application on time for your intended start date!

New student — I want an F-1 Visa

A new F-1 international student applicant is an individual who is still in their home country applying for the initial form I-20 for the F-1 visa. Visit the New F-1 International Student page to learn more about the requirements needed to apply to and attend Collin College.

Transfer student — I have an F-1 Visa

A transfer F-1 international student applicant is a student who is transferring from an institution that has issued them an I-20 and is seeking an updated I-20 from Collin College. Students may be transferring from a high school, English language program, college, or university.

Concurrent student — I have an F-1 visa

A concurrent/visiting international student applicant is a student who has an I-20 from another university/college and does not want to transfer the I-20, but wants to transfer the credit earned back to their current school.

Other visa international student applicants are students holding an active non-immigrant visa who are eligible to study in the U.S.
