Rehabilitation Aide

Rehabilitation Aide

The Rehabilitation Aide OSA is a great way to learn about the rehabilitation field, especially physical therapy. The program is for anyone interested in the rehabilitation or physical/occupational fields of study, or for anyone looking to jump start their career in the healthcare field. A rehabilitation aide, also called a technician, is an unlicensed position that works in a clinic to assist the physical therapist, occupational therapist, and chiropractor as they treat patients. Graduating with the Rehabilitation Aide OSA does not allow you to practice as a physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant, or chiropractor. Each profession requires you graduate from an accredited program and obtain a license to practice.

The Rehab Aide OSA program is a great way to get your foot in the door and explore your interest in the rehabilitation profession. Many professional programs require volunteer, observation or work experience to be admitted into the programs. The Rehab Aide OSA is a great tool to help advance interests in rehabilitation and to seek employment as a rehabilitation aide/tech. The Rehab Aide OSA is a two semester program at the Allen Technical Campus designed to give an inside view to the world of rehabilitation and prepare students to work as a Rehabilitation Aide.
