Requests for Public Information

The Texas Public Information Act makes a variety of information on the college available to the general public.  Requests for Public Information, as defined in the Public Information Act (Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code) should be submitted in writing (by hand delivery, U.S. mail or email) to the address below. Please note that the Communications Department office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding public holidays and days that the college is closed.

While not required to process your request, you may complete and submit the Texas Public Information Act Request Form.

Charges may apply. Please see the Texas Administrative Code, Rule 70.3

 

Security Notice

IMPORTANT: Collin College uses a strict preset security policy to protect all of its email systems and users. To ensure successful delivery, all sending email domains must comply with industry standards (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC). When an email is sent from you to Collin College, our external systems will evaluate the originating email system and email, to ensure compliance with security industry standards. If your email system is compliant with security industry standards, you will receive an email auto reply acknowledging receipt, generally within one (1) hour.
 
However, if your email is from an unverified or misconfigured domain, the email may be rejected or quarantined by our external systems, without notice to you. That means that such emails are not delivered to Collin College’s internal systems. THEREFORE, PLEASE ENSURE YOUR DOMAIN IS PROPERLY CONFIGURED BEFORE CONTACTING US BY EMAIL. BY EMAILING COLLIN COLLEGE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS.

 

 

Accepting Service of and Responding to Legal Notifications and Requests including Subpoenas

Legal Notifications and Requests including documents or other correspondence that require the College or its employees to respond on behalf of the College, such as legal complaints or petitions, answers or other materials relating to litigation; subpoenas for documents or testimony including subpoenas for student education records; notices of court proceedings or hearings; notices of administrative proceedings or hearings; court orders; notices of deposition; requests for documents; orders to show cause; garnishments; restraining orders; notices related to breach of contract; or notices from governmental authorities and any other legal documents requiring service or notification should be delivered to the Office of the District President, Attention: General Counsel, at the address below. Please note that normal business office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding public holidays and days that the college is closed.
