Requests for Public Information and Service of Legal Notifications and Requests

On March 13, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott signed a proclamation certifying that the COVID-19 pandemic poses an imminent threat of disaster in the State of Texas and declaring a state of disaster for all counties in Texas. Further, on March 24, 2020, Collin County Judge Chris Hill issued a second executive order delineating certain pandemic-related restrictions for the safety of the general public within the county. Collin College will continue to fulfill public information requests within statutory timeframes; however, due to the pandemic and subsequent declarations, there may be days when the College is operating with minimum staff to reduce the risk of infection. At this time, Collin College is utilizing Texas Government Code, Section 552.223, which expands the statutory response time under the Public Information Act. Any public information requests currently pending or submitted during this time will be responded to in accordance with Texas Government Code Section 552.233. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
