Response
A CougarAlert will initiate the appropriate standard emergency procedures (SEP) for each of the most likely hazards. Lockdown, Shelter, or Evacuate.
Emergency response also include medical response and campus delay opening or closure.
Appropriate hazard: Active Assailant / Shooter
Appropriate hazards: Severe Weather, Hazardous Material Incident
Appropriate hazards: Explosive Device / Bomb Threat, Gas Leak, Structural Fire
CAMPUS DELAY OPENING or CLOSURE
Appropriate hazards: Severe weather or other as required.
