Preparedness is having things in order so that you knowing what to do and where to go in the event of an emergency. Have a kit, Have a plan, Stay informed.
HAVE A KIT: An emergency can strike at any time and one way to be more prepared while on campus is to a minimum 16 & 12 emergency kit.

- Communizations plan and preloaded numbers | - Phone charger |
- Medication | - Flashlight |
HAVE A PLAN: Each location has identified where you should go during an emergency that requires you to relocate to a safer location inside or outside the facility. The first steps to your plan is to add the Collin College Police Department (CCPD) phone number (972.578.5555) as a favorite into your phone and review the location of fires extinguishers, safe locations, exits.

STAY INFORMED: Know the likely hazards, and when the hazards are more probable. Most importantly, sign up for CourgarAlerts and alerts from your local government.
College announcements will be made through CougarAlert, Collin College’s website www.collin.edu, and the local radio and television stations listed here.
