Public Water System Operator License Training
Collin College is approved with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to offer required occupational licensing training for the two following water management tracks:
Public Water System Operator License (Class C Surface Water)
Students must enroll in the following core training courses:
- Basic Water Works Operations
- Surface Production I
- Surface Production II
Wastewater Treatment License (Wastewater C)
Students must enroll in the following core training courses:
- Basic Wastewater Operation
- Activated Sludge
- Wastewater Treatment
- Wastewater Collection

Locations: Celina Campus and Farmersville Campus.

Approved Instructors:
- Jeffery Striplin and Skylar Holley - All Class C Surface Water courses
- Ray Davila - All Wastewater C courses
Required Education and Experience:
High School or GED with two years of work experience, one of which must be "hands-on". TCEQ may allow substitution of 32 college-credit hours for one year of work experience.
Required Materials: TEEX training manuals included.
Additional Information:
TCEQ license application and exam fees are additional. TCEQ occupational licenses require an individual to pass the applicable TCEQ exam to obtain a license (minimum score of 70 percent).
