Collin College’s Dignity Initiative will host a Native American culture guest speaker
this November. The event is free and open to the public. The Dignity Initiative is
a district wide effort organized by the Collin College Committee Against Gender Violence
and Oppression to educate and provide action steps to end gender-based oppression.

Savannah Waters, a doctoral candidate in Native American Studies at Oklahoma State
University, will present her research on the diaspora of Two-Spirit Natives in urban
